Online screening of 2019 documentary on life and works of Elder Joseph the Hesychast – (VIDEO)
The general public was given a free online screening today of a 2019 documentary on life and works of the Elder Joseph the Hesychast , who was canonized by the Orthodox Church this year, as viewers were given access from the webpage of the London Greek Film Festival.

The dramatized documentary picked up five “Odysseus” awards for the 2020 festival, with an awards ceremony this month to be held online, given the coronavirus restrictions in place.
The awards include Best Creative Documentary and Best Actor, which in this case is Hollywood actor, musician and author Jonathan Jackson in the title role.
A special award was also bestowed to the brotherhood of monks of Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi, for their overall spiritual work and contributions to society.
The score “A Prayer for All”, based on a poem composed by St. Joseph the Hesychast, and performed by Jackson, picked up the Best Videoclip Award.
The documentary is a production of the St. Maximus the Greek Foundation.
