Ordination of a presbyter on Imbros in the presence of the Ecumenical Patriarch
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attended the Divine Liturgy celebrated on Wednesday, 14 May 2025, the feast of Mid-Pentecost at the Church of Saint Marina, in the village of Schinoudi, Imbros.
The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Kyrillos of Imbros and Tenedos, who also conducted the ordination of Deacon Fr Prokopios to presbyter, who also comes from the village of Schinoudi.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Ecumenical Patriarch addressed the large congregation, also speaking about the new presbyter, whose path in the Church he had followed from an early on.
Archons of the Great Church of Christ, members of the Imbrian Union of Macedonia – Thrace represented by their President Pavlos Stamatidis, Archon Ostiarios, and many faithful believers were also present.
