Orthodox Diocese of Gulu and Eastern Uganda – His Grace Silvester met the priests in the Eastern part of the Diocese at St. Paul Orthodox Parish – Nakabale

Due to COVID-19 pandemic that has kept the churches in lockdown since March 2020, His Grace Silvester met on August 12, 2020, the priests in the Eastern part of the Diocese at St. Paul Orthodox Parish – Nakabale to deliver to them the proposed measures (SOPs) to be taken into consideration as agreed by the government and our uniting body the IRCU so as to open the centers of worship.

During the meeting the Bishop urged the priests to learn from the immense effects of the pandemic and devise means and join forces with the faithful through ephasising onground projects, offertory etc for self-sustainablity of the parish and the entire community.

After he was engaged in spiritual and liturgical practices with the priests and later visited the area to spot potential areas of proposed development.
