ORTHODOX SOCIAL NETWORK LAUNCHES VIRTUAL TOUR OF THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE

The Orthodox social network Elitsy has launched a new project of virtual pilgrimages, allowing anyone to visit the most famous Christian holy places throughout the world without leaving their homes.

The project was initially conceived specifically to help people with disabilities experience the beauty and grace of the holy sites.

The first 3D tour is dedicated to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, which is, like many holy places, largely closed off to the faithful now because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The tour includes, of course, the holy Edicule, which is the chapel above the Lord’s Tomb itself, the place of Golgotha where the Lord was crucified, the stone on which His Most Pure Body was laid when they took Him down from the Cross, the Chapel of Adam, where our first-formed ancestor was buried, the Chapel of St. Helen, the Church of St. Jacob, and much more.

Enjoy the virtual tour of the Holy Sepulchre here.

Another virtual tour of the Church is available here.
