Over $15,000 Raised at Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea held in the Holy Diocese of Perth
The Women of the Greek Community recently hosted a highly successful Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of the Cancer Council in WA at the Alexander the Great Club in Dianella.
Held in the presence of His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Perth and the Consul of Greece in Perth, Mrs Eleni Georgopoulou, the event brought over 250 people of the community together in a spirit of generosity and solidarity to support vital cancer research and support services.
On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Elpidios expressed his sincere gratitude to the organising committee and to all those who contributed to the success of the event.
A total of $15,524 was raised this year, bringing the overall amount raised through the annual Morning Tea over the past twenty-one years to an impressive $224,458.
The Holy Diocese of Perth congratulates the Women of the Greek Community for their continued dedication to this worthy cause and for their ongoing commitment to serving the wider community and supporting the fight against cancer.
