Patriarch John X at the Lebanese Embassy to Italy

His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, emphasized the role of Lebanon as a “message-country” for the Levant and the World. His Beatitude also praised the efforts of state institutions to consolidate stability and to bring an end to the ongoing aggression in southern Lebanon. He uttered this statement during a reception hosted in his honor, and in honor of the accompanying delegation, by the Lebanese Ambassador to Italy, Ms. Carla Jazar.

For her part, the Ambassador expressed her pleasure at welcoming His Beatitude and commended his positions and the role of the Antiochian Orthodox Church in the Middle East and throughout the world.

The gathering was attended by His Beatitude, the accompanying delegation, and a number of ambassadors.
