Patriarch John X Condoles Archbishop Anastasios of Albania: “It is with deep sadness that we heard about the falling asleep in the Lord of His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of thrice blessed memory”.
His Beatitude John X, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, sent a letter of condolence to the Holy Synod of the Albanian Church on the passing of its Archbishop Anastasios. The letter reads:
“It is with deep sadness that we heard about the falling asleep in the Lord of His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of thrice blessed memory.
We extend our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the beloved hierarchs, clergy, and faithful of the Albanian Church as you mourn the loss of this beloved shepherd. We offer our fervent supplications for the repose of his soul. We delegate His Eminence Metropolitan Ignatius Alhoushi Metropoltian of France, Western and Southern Europe and His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan Oner Metropolitan of the British Isles and Ireland to represent our Church in the funeral.
May his Memory be Eternal!
