Patriarch Kirill could visit Korean Peninsula next June
The Russian Orthodox Church leader is planning to visit the Korean Peninsula in 2020, probably in June, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.
«The visit by His Holiness the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia to the Korean Peninsula is planned for next year, presumably in June,» Matviyenko told South Korea’s National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang on the sidelines of an Inter-Parliamentary Union assembly in Belgrade on Monday.
Russia counts on Seoul’s assistance with preparations for the visit, she said.
