Patriarch of Antioch John X again visits Cathedral of St. George in Hama

The Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, His Beatitude John X, this week visited the Holy Cathedral of St. George in the much-suffering northwest Syrian city of Hama.
The visit marked the second time that His Beatitude has visited the city over the past few months, at the invitation of the resident Metropolitan, His Eminence Nikolaos.
In addressing the faithful, the Patriarch of Antioch exclaimed Christos Anesti, Christ Is Risen, in conveying a message of hope and peace.
In a related development, His Beatitude on Wednesday received Russian Orthodox Church’s Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, His Eminence Hilarion, at the Patriarchal see in Damascus.
The Metropolitan is the chairman of Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations, as well as an envoy of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill.
