Patriarch of Bulgaria Neophyte celebrates patronal name day

The Patriarch of Bulgaria, His Holiness Neophyte, on Saturday commemorated his patronal name day, on the occasion of the feast day of Neophytos the Martyr of Nicaea and St. Maximus the Greek, with a Divine Liturgy celebrated at the metropolitan Cathedral of St. Marina in Sofia.
The con-celebratory service was officiated by Fr. Petar Slavov, and co-officiated by His Holiness and the Bishop of Melnik, Gerasim, the Chief Secretary of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church’s Holy Synod.

The Bulgarian Patriarch also received the country’s president, Rumen Radev, this same day at the Patriarchal residence, with the latter wishing him good health and fortitude in his extremely responsible ministry as the Primate of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
