Patriarch of Russia chairs plenary session of 31st Int’l Christmas Educational Readings

The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill, on Wednesday chaired a plenary session of the 31st International Christmas Educational Readings, which is being held at the Kremlin in Moscow.
Earlier in the day, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church officiated at the Divine Liturgy, held at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, during which participants of the Readings prayed.

Halfway around the world, the Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Porfirije this week visited parishes and the Church-school congregation of St. Sava in New York City.

The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church arrived in the United States on Tuesday for a pastoral visit.

Patriarch Porfirije was briefed on construction works at the cathedral, which was destroyed in a fire on the eve of the Feast of Resurrection in 2016.
