Patriarchate of Jerusalem decries latest flagrant violation of pilgrimage site by unknown squatters

Radical squatters of unknown origin on Sunday evening briefly occupied a property at the Holy Zion site, which belongs to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
According to reports, the squatters gathered around the chapel and near the school building, bringing tables and a bed covers, ostensibly in order to settle permanently.

The Patriarchate strongly protested against the latest flagrant violation of its pilgrimage site and, by reporting it to Israeli police, demanded the removal of this group of people.

Police later evacuated the squatters from the site.
