Promotion of the Slovak translation of “The Prologue of Ohrid”

The official promotions of the Orthodox spiritual books in Slovakia are not uncommon, but since, with the help of God, the magnificent work of Holy Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic The Prologue of Ohrid was finally translated into the Slovak language, intended for all ages and intellectual categories regardless of religion.

Our tour began on 23 November 2018 with the Holy Liturgy in the Orthodox church of the Monastery of the Placing of the Honorable Robe of the Most Holy Mother of God in Komárno, because actually, this town is important for the history of the Serbs in Slovakia. Most of the residents of this town do not know that Komarno had an important role in the history of the Serbs. During the Turkish rule in the 17th century around 40000 Serbian families came in this area, and at the same time, the seat of the Serbian Patriarch Arsenije III Carnojevic was located there.

The same day there was a promotion of the book in the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Bratislava.

Guests from Serbia also visited the church service spaces in Trnava, where the Serbs, like in Komarno, also played an important historical role.

The Saturday’s Holy Liturgy we served in the magnificent space of the gallery of icons in Zilina. After the Holy Liturgy, the book The Prologue of Ohrid was presented.

On Sunday, 25 November 2018, we had an honor to serve and sing the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral church in Koshice with the concelebration of His Grace Archbishop George of Mihailovsk-Koshice, and who showcased the relics of Holy Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic in the middle of the church before the Liturgy.
