Thousands of Orthodox faithful, abbots and priests continued peaceful protests around Montenegro against a recently ratified law that the Orthodox Church charges open the way for a confiscation of many of its properties and relics.
In Podgorica, the country’s capital, the Bishop of Diokleia, His Grace Methodius, declared that protests will not stop until the controversial law is repealed. He also said the Serbian Orthodox Church has requested talks with the country’s government.
