Re-dedication less than 2 months away for Sts. Constanine & Helen Cathedral in Cairo

Less than two months remain before the historic re-dedication of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Sts. Constantine and Helen in Cairo, Egypt. A first Divine Liturgy at the under-renovation Cathedral is set for Thursday, the Feast Day of the Dormition of the Theotokos.

The major renovation comes from a major donation by philanthropist Ekaterini Sofianou-Belafanti, a noted member of Egypt’s ethnic Greek community.

The events for the re-dedication are scheduled for Sept. 27 and 28, with the Metropolitan of Memphis, His Eminence Nikodimos, overseeing preparations.
