Romanian Bishop of North Europe visits with inmates in Oslo

The Romanian Orthodox Church Bishop of North Europe, His Grace Macarie, last week visited inmates held in correctional facilities in Oslo, Norway, on the occasion of the 11 years since his enthronement.

In a statement, he said “…A year ago, on the occasion of serving as the bishop of North Europe for 10 years, I was in Greenland to preach the Gospel to the Romanians there and to the local people. Today, I am at the side of people deprived their freedom, here in Oslo’s prisons.”
