Romanian, Estonian Churches to hold Easter services without worshippers

The Romanian Patriarchate has also issued an encyclical on the holding of services during Easter Holy Week, reminding that worshipers cannot be present in cathedrals and chapels.

Additionally, the Church said the sacrament of confession can be conducted only within a private residence, and with the attending cleric taking all prescribed sanitary precautions.

Similarly, the Metropolis of Tallinn and All Estonia this week called on clerics and the faithful to follow all guidelines and precautions issued by state authorities in the Baltic republic, while reminding that Holy Easter Week services will be conducted without the presence of worshipers, but with only a bare minimum of attending clerics and cantors.
