Romanian Patriarch Daniel: Faithful called upon to transform themselves through prayer, humility, repentance

The Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, speaking on the occasion of the Feast Day of Mary of Egypt, a “Desert Mother” who lived as an ascetic in the Jordanian wilderness for 47 years, said the faithful are called upon to transform themselves through prayer, humility and repentance, in essence to change our way of thinking.
The Romanian Church has, from the very beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, stood by its sorely tested flock, through prayer and material support.

On Sunday, after the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy at Metropolitan Cathedral, a litany of the Holy Relics of Bucharest’s patron saint, St. Demetrious the New, was held with automobiles, in order to avoid public assembly, as per standing restrictions.
