Russian Church to open rehabilitation, support center for orphans, injured children in war-battered Syria

The Russian Orthodox Church announced that it is planning to open a rehabilitation and support center this year in war-ravaged Syria, for children who have been injured or who have lost their parents in the conflict.
The initiative was announced this week by the Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, His Eminence Hilarion, the head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations (DECR).

His Eminence added that the Russian Church will transport children who require special treatment to Moscow.
