Russian Patriarch in Strasbourg: Misunderstandings must be overcome so Russia can take rightful place at CoE table
While in the capital of the Alsace region, the Russian Patriarch expressed a hope, as he said, that Europe will turn a page on any misunderstanding with Russia, thereby allowing the country to assume its rightful place in the Strasbourg-based Council of Europe.
His comments came after a meeting with Council of Europe secretary general Thorbjørn Jagland.
