Seeds from Greece now bloom in central Africa, while the colors associated with the east Mediterranean country light up the classrooms of the missionary school managed by the Chrysopigi Orthodox Mission in Luguzi, Uganda, in the parish of St. Spyridonas.

The goals of the mission include, beyond ensuring that children in need are fed and schooled, completion of the St. Spyridonas Church, the opening of a health clinic with trained physicians, along with cultivation of nearby lands with seeds sent from Greece.
