Serbian Patriarch Irinej released from hospital, assumes all previous duties

The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Irinej, has been released from a Belgrade-area military hospital and will resume all of his ecclesiastical duties, an announcement by the Patriarchate stated this week.

Irinej was briefly hospitalized for medical tests. Reports this past week noted that unseasonably warm weather in the country and the Patriarch’s very busy itinerary of tours possibly led to exhaustion.
