Skete of Saint Panteleimon (Koutloumousiou)

The Skete of Saint Panteleimon, not to be confused with the monastery of the same name, some kilometres away, is a skete of the Koutloumousiou monastery in Mount Athos Greece.

The Skete was founded in 1785 by the monk Charalampos near the town of Karies, and is a dependent of the Koutloumousiou monastery.

The distinctive feature of the skete is the fact that the icon of Saint Panteleimon from the main church (kiriakon) resembles a lot on how the saint was in reality.

Also, in the outer corner of the church is the corner in which Saint Paisios stood during the services.
