Sunday of Orthodoxy celebrated with centuries-old Athonite rite at Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi

The radiant and venerable Sunday of Orthodoxy – the triumph of true doctrine over heresy – was celebrated with centuries-old Athonite rite at the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi.
The Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi, officiated at a synaxis of thanksgiving and a Litany of the Holy Icons and Relics, and co-officiated by Elders of the Vatopedi brotherhood.

Finally, in another development from Mount Athos, elders and monks of the Holy Monasteries of Xenophontos and Pantokrator on Sunday prayed for peace to triumph in Ukraine.

At the Holy Monastery of Pantokrator, a supplication prayer service was conducted for the cessation of the fratricidal war.
