Sydney: ‘Women of Byzantium’ Performance at the Parish of Saint Ioannis, Parramatta
The musical-theatrical performance “Women of Byzantium” was recently presented by the Hellenic Lyceum of Sydney at the Parish of Saint Ioannis in Parramatta, Sydney.
Under the directorial guidance of the President of the Hellenic Lyceum, Mrs Liana Vertzayias, the performance explored the lives of nine emblematic women who lived during the Byzantine era.
In addition to dramatic performances, the production also featured music and dance, culminating in the presentation of traditional dances from Asia Minor, expertly choreographed by the Dance Director of the Lyceum, Mrs Irene Tsenkas.
The organisers of the performance thanked the audience for their enthusiastic response, as well as the Parish Priest, Fr Dimitrios Kokkinos, the President Mr Kosmas Dimitriou, and the Dimitriou-Litsa family for their support.
