The Archdiocesan Council of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia convened
On Thursday, 24 April, the Archdiocesan Council of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia convened in session, under the chairmanship of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, in Sydney.
This was the first meeting of this collective body of the Archdiocese of Australia following the Apostolic Visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Australia. At the opening of meeting, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia warmly thanked all members of the Council for their contribution to the successful organisation of the events for the centenary of the local Church and the historic Patriarchal Visit.
Furthermore, the Archdiocesan Council examined issues related to Greek Orthodox and theological education, while studying the progress of the project concerning the reconstruction of the building facilities of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia in Sydney.
