The Blessing of the Waters of Venice
The great Feast of Theophany was celebrated with due splendour at the headquarters of the Holy Metropolis of Italy.
Following the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Saint George of the Greeks, the sacred Service of the Blessing of the Waters was celebrated, with the casting of the Holy Cross into the canal from the Bridge of the Greeks (Ponte dei Greci), for the sanctification of the waters of the city of Venice.
