The commemoration of the miracle of Saint Euphemia the Great Martyr at the Ecumenical Patriarchate
The miracle of the glorious Great Martyr and All-parised Euphemia, whose holy relic is enshrined in the Venerable Patriarchal Church, was celebrated at the Sacred Centre of Orthodoxy, the Phanar.
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was present joined in prayer during the Divine Liturgy which took place on Friday, 11 July 2025, the day of the feast, which was officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Theoliptos of Iconium.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His All-Holiness distributed the antidoron to the faithful gathered from the Constantinople and abroad and then venerated the holy relics of Saint Euphemia.
Also present for the feast day Divine Liturgy were Their Eminences, Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi, Metropolitan Stephanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos, Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria and Metropolitan Ioakeim of Bursa.
