The Enthronement of the New Bishop of Canberra, Athinagoras, on 6 December 2025
The Holy Eparchial Synod of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia is pleased to announce that on Saturday, 6 December 2025, the official installation of His Grace Bishop Athinagoras of Canberra will take place.
The ceremony, which will be held at the celebrating Church of Saint Nicholas, Canberra (Wentworth Avenue & Telopea Park, Kingston), will be preceded by a Synodal Divine Liturgy beginning at 7:30am, presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
The faithful are warmly invited to participate in this great spiritual joy of our local Church.
