The Feast of the Synaxis of the Theotokos (Second day of Christmas) at the Patriarchate
On Wednesday, 26th December 2024 / 8th January 2025, the Feast of the Synaxis of the Theotokos was celebrated at the Patriarchate in the Monastic Church of Saints Constantine and Helen, with the participation of His Beatitude our Father and Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos III, and the members of the Brotherhood of the Holy
Sepulchre, as well as representatives of the Moscow Patriarchate and the Hegumen of the Spiritual Mission in Jerusalem (MISSIA), Archimandrite Vassianos. The Consul of the Greek Consulate General in Jerusalem, Mrs Anna Mandika, attended the service.
After the service was dismissed, the Patriarchal entourage and the congregation ascended to the Patriarchate, where Christmas hymns were chanted, a reception was offered, and festive greetings were exchanged, with the Patriarchal blessing of His Beatitude.
