The first monastery dedicated by Serbian Orthodox Church to St. Paisios the Athonite being buil

The first monastery dedicated by the Serbian Orthodox Church to 20th St. Paisios the Athonite is currently being built in Šuljkovac, within the Eparchy of Šumadija.

In placing the foundation stone for the new monastery, the Bishop of Šumadija, His Grace Jovan, referred to “…the love for St. Paisios, whom we feel belongs to our people, and who brings peoples closer together.”
