The memory of the saint was celebrated by the Patriarchate of Alexandria at the Patriarchal Vicariate, in Cairo’s Hamzawi district, where a cell and chapel dedicated to St. Nektarios’ memory are located.
The festal Vespers were held in the courtyard of the Church complex, due to COVID-19 restrictive measures, with the Patriarchal Vicar of Cairo, Metropolitan Nikodimos of Memphis, officiating at the service.
