The Metropolitan of Mexico at the Theological School of Halki
On Thursday, 27 November 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Iakovos of Mexico visited the Holy Theological School of Halki. He was accompanied by the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Panama, the Greek Ambassador to Panama, and other visitors from the Eparchy.
The Abbot, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos welcomed the Metropolitan and his distinguished guests. They spoke about the Theological School’s illustrious history, its contributions during its years of operation, and the prospect of its reopening. He emphasised the school’s importance to the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
The visitors then venerated the Chapel of the Holy Trinity and received a guided tour of the old classrooms and other areas of the school.
