The Prefect of Pera visits the Phanar
At midday on Tuesday, 18 February 2025, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew welcomed the Prefect of Beyoğlu (Pera), Mr. Atakan Atasoy, with his wife, to the Phanar.
The Prefect attended a meal which was hosted in his honour by His All-Holiness, at the Marasleion School adjacent to the central Patriarchal complex, where they had previously had a meeting and cordial conversation.
During his visit, he also had the opportunity to be guided through the Patriarchal House, where he was informed about the history and initiatives of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
It is recalled that a month ago, His All-Holiness visited the Prefect at his headquarters, in order to wish him well on the occasion of assuming his duties.
