The Sacred Skull of Saint David of Euboea solemnly received at the Church of Saint Luke of Simferopol in Veroia
On Thursday afternoon, 28 May, His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Veria, Naousa and Kampania solemnly received the sacred skull of Saint David of Euboea outside the Church of Saint Luke of Simferopol. The sacred relic was brought by the Abbot of the Monastery of Saint David, Archimandrite Gabriel Emmanouilidis.
Following the reception, a Poly-Hierarchical Vespers was celebrated for the feast of the Translation of the Relics of Saint Luke, held at the Monastery of Panagia Dovra in Veroia.
The service was presided over by Metropolitan Panteleimon, who, at its conclusion, addressed the congregation and expressed his gratitude to the hierarchs who participated in the Vespers, as well as to the Abbot of the Monastery of Saint David for bringing the sacred relic to join in the celebration honouring Saint Luke. His Eminence then officially declared the opening of the 8th Medical Week of Saint Luke.

Concelebrating and assisting in the service were His Eminence Metropolitan Joel of Edessa and Their Graces Bishop Nikodimos of Skopelos and Bishop Athenagoras of Domenikos. Bishop Nikodimos delivered the homily during the service.
