Thessaloniki: Three-Month Hierarchical Memorial Service for Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate Chrysostomos Stamoulis
On Sunday, 16 November, His Eminence Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki presided at the Matins service and subsequently at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Parish Church of Saint Barbara in Ano Toumba, Thessaloniki. In the Holy Sanctuary, His Eminence Metropolitan Damaskinos of Velestino was also present in prayer.
Before the dismissal, the Metropolitan preached the sermon before the large congregation, referring to the Gospel passage of the day.
He then conducted the three-month Hierarchical Memorial Service for the late Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and distinguished professor of the Theological School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Chrysostomos Stamoulis, who served the sacred science of Theology with dedication and love and was a valued collaborator of the Metropolis of Thessaloniki.
