Traditional Greek Singer Gogo Tsampa pays visit to Archbishop Makarios of Australia
Traditional Greek Dimotiko Singer, Gogo (Georgia) Tsampa visited His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia in Sydney, during her visit to Australia, where she came to participate in the Greek Summer Festival of Saint Basil’s NSW/ACT, which took place in Carss park last weekend.
The well-known artist was accompanied by Ioannis Papadimitriou, Georgios Niaros and Christos Metos, her instrumentalists band members, and all together during their meeting with His Eminence, had a fruitful and constructive discussion about traditional music and the Greek Community in Australia.
His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, in turn, thanked the visitors for the effort they are making in order to preserve and spread traditional Greek music, whilst he congratulated them on their successful presence at the Greek Summer Festival of Saint Basil’s NSW/ACT and wished them progress and prosperity in their lives and in their artistic works.
