University of Balamand, Lebanese army sign protocol on academic cooperation

The university was established in northern Lebanon in 1988 by the Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East, during the tenure of reposed  Orthodox Patriarch Ignatius IV of Antioch. The university’s main campus is adjacent to the renowned Balamand Monastery.

Inspired by Orthodoxy and the Patriarchate of Antioch, the university welcomes students and faculty without an consideration to race or religion.
