Visit of clergy of the Autonomous Church of Finland to the Theological School of Halki
A multi-member group of clergy and students of the Autonomous Church of Finland, led by His Eminence Metropolitan Arsenios of Kuopio and Karelia and His Eminence Metropolitan Elias of Oulu, as well as His Grace Bishop Sergios of Hamina, visited today, Wednesday, 15 February 2023, the Theological School of Halki.
The guests were welcomed by the Abbot, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, with the brotherhood of the Holy Monastery also with him. Addressing the guests, the Abbot welcomed them to the historic educational institution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, referring both to its brilliant history and contribution and to the urgent need for the Mother Church to be able to train its clergy at the Theological School, in its historic See.
Then, the special visitors were guided to the church, the Great Synodikon, the historical Library, the classrooms, and the other areas of the School, while finally, they attended a luncheon which was served in their honour.
