Young men and women sang Christmas carols for Archbishop Makarios of Australia
On Monday, 22 December, the Great Hall of Saint Andrew’s Theological College in Sydney was filled with youthful smiles and festive melodies. There, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia welcomed young men and women of the Greek Orthodox Christian Society of the Holy Archdiocese, who paid their customary visit to the headquarters of the local Church in anticipation of the feasts of Christmas and the New Year.
The youth, with lively voices and accompanied by musical instruments, sang the traditional carols to their Shepherd, spreading Chief nostalgia, emotion, and hope. Also present on this beautiful occasion were the Chancellor, His Grace Bishop Christophoros of Kerasounta; Mr Steve Magdas, a staff member of the Holy Archdiocese; clergy; and members of the administrative personnel.
His Eminence Archbishop Makarios warmly thanked the delegation of the Greek Orthodox Christian Society for their visit, as well as for their multifaceted contribution to the activities and work of the Holy Archdiocese. In a paternal manner, he encouraged the young people to continue their journey with faith in Christ and devotion to His Church, and wished them health, spiritual growth, and abundant blessings from God in their lives and in their families.
