Warm Telephone Conversation between the Ecumenical Patriarch and the Patriarch of Georgia
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, in light of the presence of the official Patriarchal Delegation in Tbilisi for the first Patriarchal and Synodal Divine Liturgy of the newly elected Patriarch of Georgia, Shio III, responded to his telephone call on the evening of Sunday, 17 May, and the two Primates held a fraternal conversation.
His All-Holiness personally conveyed to His Beatitude his wishes for a fruitful and long Primatial ministry for the benefit of the faithful Georgian people and for the prosperity of his country.
The Patriarch of Georgia thanked the Ecumenical Patriarch for his heartfelt wishes, expressing sentiments of brotherly love and esteem toward his person.
It should be noted that the Patriarchal Delegation consists of Their Eminences Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain and Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, together with the Grand Syncellus Fr. Ieronymos.
