Holy Fire from Church of the Holy Sepulcher again conveyed to Greece

The arrival of the Holy Fire to Athens, and by extension to all of Greece, from the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem will again take place on Holy Saturday, similar to the past decades, although special procedure will be in effect due to the pandemic.

The Holy Fire is expected to be conveyed aboard an airliner landing in the Athens area in the afternoon, where it will be received by the Metropolitan of Glyfada, His Eminence Antonios, the spokesman for the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece, Metropolitan Athinagoras stated.
