Inauguration of first Church dedicated to St. Gerasimos the Hymnographer of Mt. Athos

The inauguration of the first cathedral dedicated to the newly canonized saint of the Orthodox Church, St. Gerasimos the Hymnographer, a 20th century monk and Athonite Elder, will be held on Sunday at the Skete of St. Anne, the Mother of the Most Holy Theotokos, where the newest saith of the Church toiled in ascetism.

The Metropolitan of Veria, Naoussa and Kampania, His Eminence Panteleimon, a spiritual offspring of Gerasimos the Hymnographer, will officiate at the dedication service, immediately after the dismissal from the Divine Liturgy.
