Poetry competition by the students of the Greek Community Schools in honor of the National Anniversary of March 25, 1821
On the day of the National and Religious Celebration of March 25, a poetry competition was organized by the students of the Greek Community Schools in the United Kingdom on the theme of freedom.
The event took place at the ambassadorial residence in the presence of the new Ambassador of Greece to the United Kingdom, Mr. Ioannis Tsaousis, the Consuls of Greece and Cyprus, Ms. Goula and Ms. Odysseus, as well as numerous officials from the Greek Embassy and the Cypriot High Commission.
From the Greek schools of the Holy Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain, the schools of St. Sophia in London, St. Apostle Andreas in Birmingham, and the Greek School of Oxford, were awarded.
The event was dedicated to Lord Byron. Warm congratulations to all the schools that participated.
