Archbishop Elpidophoros Receives Archon Peter Vlitas at GOARCH
His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America received Archon Peter Vlitas at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America Headquarters on October 15, 2024 to discuss the upcoming trip of the Presidential Guard, known as the Evzones, to the United States for the New York Greek Independence Parade which will take place on March 30, 2025. For the last two years, Archon Vlitas has served as the head of the Evzones Committee and has coordinated all travel and logistics of the Evzones while they are in America. His Eminence joyously reappointed Archon Vlitas to the same position this year, entrusting him with the responsibility again, on behalf of the Archdiocese, to work with the Parade Committee for a successful visit.
