Archbishop Ieronymos attends sanctification ceremony at Church-affiliated daycare center

The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, attended a sanctification ceremony at a Church-run daycare center in the Dilesi township, north of Athens, which was also attended by the Metropolitan of Thebes and Livadia, his Eminence Georgios.

He reminded that the specific daycare center is a partnership between the Metropolis of Thebes, in south-central Greece, and the Vafiadakeios charitable institute.

His Holiness Kirill, the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, extended his condolences to the families of eight victims who died during a truck-bus collision in the Yaroslavl region on Saturday. A spokesman for the Russian Patriarch noted that the Metropolis of Yaroslavl, northwest of Moscow, is providing all types of assistance to the families of the victims and to the injured.
