Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Eminence Ieronymos, on Friday made a reciprocal visit to the education and religious affairs ministry, where he was greeted by Minister Niki Kerameos and ministry general secretary Giorgos Kalantzis.
His Eminence was accompanied by the first secretary of the Church of Greece’s Holy Synod.
“Ms. Kerameos had visited us, and I felt the need to reciprocate the visit,” Ieronymos merely said, while referring to a courtesy visit that will nevertheless broach certain Church-state issues.
Asked about the issue of registered clerics’ payroll regime, His Eminence said that “we have time for all these things.”
Kerameos’ statements were echoed those made by the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece.i Kerameos and ministry general secretary Giorgos Kalantzis.
