Church of Greece Holy Synod to convene on Wed.

Members of the Church of Greece’s Holy Synod will convene on Wednesday, amid the ongoing and soon-to-be-concluded 162nd synodical session, with a relevant announcement merely saying that Church hierarchs will deal with issues on the agenda.

Among others, the Holy Synod will formally accept the resignation of the Metropolitan of Kalavryta and Aigialeia, His Grace Amvrosios. The 81-year-old Metropolitan (Bishop) announced his resignation last weekend during a sermon.
