Spectacular image were presented this week on how Constantinople looked before it fell to the Ottomans in 1453.
The digital images were presented by a Turkish mass media outlet.
The Imperial city’s grandeur comes to life, with the most prominent example being the Hagia Sophia Cathedral.
The 1,000-year Eastern Roman empire, later referred to as the Byzantine civilization, came to an end on May 29, 1453 after a nearly two-month siege, with the last Byzantine Emperor, Constantine Paleologos, falling in defense of the city.
