Feast day of Alexios, the Man of God; Patrick, enlightener of the Ireland

The Church today venerates the memory of Alexios, the Man of God, as he came to be known to the faithful.
On the occasion of the saint’s feast day, an all-night Vigil was held at the Holy Monastery of St. Lavra, in southwest Greece, with an archieratical Vespers and the Service of the Pre-sanctified Gifts officiated by the resident Metropolitan of Kalavryta and Aigialias, His Eminence Ieronymos, and co-officiated by the Abbot of the venerable monastery, Elder Archimandrite Eusevios Spanos, other elders of the Lavra brotherhood and clerics of the Metropolis.

Commemorative religious services continued today in the mountainous town of Kalavryta, with litany procession through the main streets of Honest head of Alexios.
Today is also the feast day of Patrick the Enlightener of Ireland.
